This is one of my other hobbies - web hacking!
If you are not familiar with the term, this means taking some exisgin website that provides some useful service, and modifying it to enhance the service and make it even more useful or interesting (adding to the WOW factor, for example)
Walla Maps Fullscreen, is a simple full-screen view of Walla! Maps (original).
The israeli portal Walla, provides an interface to the AtlasCT maps of Israeli roads. This hack simply makes it full screen with the searching options optimized for screen-space, since the original is very small and the search controls take too much precious space.
Old Walla Maps Fullscreen, is a full-screen view of the old Walla! Maps system (original).
The previous Walla Maps system used an older database of roads, and didn't feature important landmarks. Also, the interface was uglier.
This one is here for reference, because it took me about 15 minutes to create back in the day :)
Ayalon Highways camera control center is a nice webhack of the busy highway camera system (original).
The original site features a rather nice Flash interface for choosing what to see, but it doesn't let you watch more than one camera at a time.
The idea behind this hack was to make a control-center like screen with many cameras showing different places on the highway at the same time. Using this hack you can immediately spot traffic jams before leaving for work (or from work).
It has already saved some lives (ok, maybe not lives, but many precious hours for some of my friends)
Note that in Firefox, you cannot change cameras. Changing cameras works only in IE... sorry.
